Johannesburg, Gauteng Established Non Profit Organization seeks to employ a
Social worker.
SALARY- NEGOTIABLE
The Key Responsibilities Are
Client assessment and referrals / Clients case management
Supervision of social Auxiliary workers, learners and social work students
Provide Substance abuse/ mental health intervention
Provide Gender based/ Domestic Violence intervention
Manage Youth who are susceptible to committing crime/ Implement protective factors in addressing
social issues including crime
Facilitate awareness and prevention workshops on HIV/Aids,Sexual reproductive health, Substance
abuse, Anti-Smoking campaign, Motivation on Physical fitness and positive lifestyle.
Maintain accurate records and case files, submission of narrative reports and supporting documents
Develop psychosocial related content, information, and communication material.
Crisis intervention
Facilitate re-union and reconciliation between youth and their family
Hold indoors and outdoors health/ social promotion campaigns
Qualifications and Requirements
- Must be qualified Social Worker,
- Proof of degree and other relevant qualifications,
- Proof of registration with the South African Council for Social Service Professions (SACSSP).
- At least Minimum 3 years’ experience working as a Social Worker,
- Multilingual and proficiency in at least 3 South African local languages.
