We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced recruitment officer to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to recruit unemployed youth for learnerships. The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication and organisational skills, as well as the ability to work independently and under pressure. Attention to detail and the ability to supervise a small team of administrators are also crucial for this position.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and attract suitable candidates for learnership programmes
- Advertise job vacancies through various channels
- Conduct interviews and assessments to evaluate candidate suitability
- Verify candidate qualifications, references and background checks
- Maintain a comprehensive database of potential candidates
- Collaborate with external stakeholders to source potential candidates
- Engage and collaborate with internal stakeholders during the recruitment process
- Provide guidance and support to candidates throughout the recruitment process
- Coordinate and supervise a small team of administrators
- Stay updated on industry trends and regulations related to learnerships
- Ensure compliance with relevant employment laws and regulations
Required:
- Grade 12 certificate
- Relevant qualifications in recruitment or human resources
- Minimum of four years’ recruitment experience, preferably for learnership programmes
- Strong knowledge of recruitment practices and techniques
- Familiarity with relevant legislation and regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and strong organisational abilities
- Ability to work independently and under pressure
- Valid driver’s licence and own transport
